課程概述

This course will provide students with a general overview of the interaction between foreign language teaching and translation studies (T&I). We will approach the topic from at least three different perspectives: 1. Translation in language teaching. 2. Language teaching for translators/interpreters. 3. The potential for mutual collaboration of these two fields. Students will read, consider, and discuss a variety of theory and practice in language teaching and T&I education, examine learning materials from both fields, and reflect upon their own learning experience. Students will also observe the relationship in action by conducting a research project in a language or T&I classroom. 

課程目標
This course is designed for students who are interested in either language teaching or translation teaching. It will also benefit students who want to become better learners of translation or foreign languages. At the end of the course, students will be able to:
1. Explain the relationship between translation studies and language teaching from different perspectives.
2. Learn more effectively as learners of translation or learners of languages.
3. Teach more effectively as teachers of translation or teachers of languages. 
課程要求
本課程適合翻譯學程、教育學程或外文系曾修習翻譯或英語教學相關課程的學生修習。學生需設計教案並實際至高中或大學課堂試教。
